Currently I am a 26-year-old graduate of the University of Missouri living in the Washington D.C. area working for the membership association Worldwide ERC® as a Communications Coordinator.
In my capacity at that position I maintain the company’s Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest accounts, am in charge of all video and photography projects, proof and write for our monthly magazine Mobility, and am the lead on our three monthly newsletters.
Prior to that I was the Director of Social Media at MainJustice.com, a news site in Washington D.C. that covers the Department of Justice and Securities and Exchange Commission. One of my duties there was to create a weekly newsletter that was sent out to 8,000+ white-collar attorneys around the globe. Another facet of my work was to maintain the Twitter, Facebook, Vimeo, and LinkedIn pages for both the free and pay sites.
In addition to the aforementioned tasks, I also ran webinars in partnership with law firms across the country and overseas. To do so I would work with the law firm’s liaisons to create graphics, brainstorm topics, and execute dry runs to prepare for the actual presentations.
I studied print journalism at the University of Missouri where I honed my writing and editing skills. While there I wrote for the city paper, the Columbia Missourian, and covered the state government from the capital in Jefferson City for Missouri Digital News.
Reporting, producing, editing, and actually starting my own website will all help me succeed as one of your agency’s employees. I am very critical about details, deadlines, and quality of work, which I feel are three of the most important aspects of working within this realm.
